Licensing

A license is required for each SQL Server Instance on which the SQLUtilities assembly is installed. There is no limit to the number of databases within the server instance that the assembly can be deployed to, nor to the number of users that can access the server.

Note that for evaluation, development and testing purposes on SQL Server Developer Edition the free trial edition of SQLUtilities can be used at no charge.

Universal Product Bundle Deal

Every server license purchased for SQLStatistics, SQLMath, SQLEngineering, SQLDistributions, SQLFinancials, SQLRollingStats or SQLUtilities counts as one license in terms of the Volume Discounts listed above - so the price of buying two products for one server is the same as that of buying one product for two servers. In addition, any seat licenses of Assembly Manager that you purchase also count the same as server licenses on a 1:1 basis.

For example, the quote below shows the pricing if you buy 3 seats of Assembly Manager with 1 server license each of SQLUtilities and SQLMath: all products benefit from the 5-9 price band because 3 seat licences + 2 server licences = 5 licences. In this case this represents a saving of $170, about 20%, versus purchasing the items separately.
